Student Support Services
Our University Learning Center offers a variety of services that will help you achieve your academic goals. These free services include tutoring, available in a variety of academic disciplines. An assortment of workshops are offered on topics such as study skills, time management, notetaking, and following research guidelines. The Writing Center is staffed with trained writing teachers who will work with you to master your writing skills. Special student support is offered through our Counseling Center , Disability Related Services Office, and Multicultural Student Services Office.
Library Resources
USF's Gleeson Library | Geschke Learning Resource Center home page links students to over 100 databases, including general periodical, specialized academic, government, and business databases. The library has over 700,000 items, subscribes to over 2,400 periodicals and is a federal government depository. The USF Law Library provides a students with law resources and texts. The Ricci Institute holds one of the top twenty Chinese collections in the country and the Curriculum Reading Room is a great source for teachers.
Technology Facilities and Services
Computer labs provide students access to Macintosh and PC computers. Computing help is available to students in person, on-line, or by telephone. Our state of the art campus facilities include major research equipment and high-quality computer and science laboratories that will support your scholarly needs and enhance your academic experience.
Career Services
The Career Services Center offers many services to graduate students, including career counseling, job search strategies, developing interview skills, and networking. Career Services maintains an active relationship with thousands of USF alumni, as well as corporate, nonprofit, and public sector organizations based in the Bay Area.
International Student and Scholar Services
International students are essential to the richly diverse USF community. The International Student and Scholar Services office provides a comprehensive orientation program, immigration advice, immigration documentation, and additional information for our international students. ISSS and International Student Association programs and events are open to all.
Health and Recreation Services
We offer one of the most outstanding recreational and fitness facilities on the West Coast. Our Koret Center includes an Olympic-sized swimming pool, Lifecycles, turbo bikes, stairmasters, rowing machines, and Nordic Track machines. The Center also has a fully equipped weight room, a fully- padded martial arts room, and an aerobic/dance room.
Dining Services
University of San Francisco Dining Services include 6 eateries throughout campus operating various hours, in order to accomodate both residential and commuting students, day and night. Meals in all the cafés, on campus pizza delivery; as well as goods at the Outtakes Grocery Store are available as part of a Meal Plan or as pay-as-you-go purchases.
