University Ministry creates opportunities for USF students, faculty, staff and alumni to explore principles of Ignatian spirituality and apply them to their lives and work. In so doing, we inspire members of the USF community to experience inner freedom, realize the fullness of their humanity, and live lives of hope, passion, integrity and purpose.
We embrace and celebrate the richness of the Catholic faith and Catholic heritage of USF. At the same time, we welcome and encourage people of all faiths and no religious beliefs to join with us in creating an inclusive learning community at USF that is reflective and authentic in its search for meaning and truth.
In the Jesuit Catholic tradition, we challenge women and men to be contemplatives in action who:
• Engage in experiences that challenge our perceptions
• Reflect with thoughtful attention to the influence and meaning of these experiences
• Allow our discernment to shape and transform our purpose in the world
• Actively develop relationships of compassion, justice, and advocacy
