Patrick Camangian and Noah Borrero,
winners of the University of San Francisco’s Distinguished Faculty Achievement
Award 2011, and Bay Area education leaders led a panel discussion Feb. 22 on the
achievement gap in urban schools.
Camangian and Borrero, both assistant
professors of teacher education, were part of a panel discussion with other
experts on the topic. The discussion was moderated by Joseph E. Marshall
Jr. ’68, co-founder and executive director of the Omega Boys Club and trustee emeritus of the USF Board of Trustees. It explored the root causes and potential solutions to the gap.
